The M.Sc. (Economics) is a two-year (four semesters) program. Students enrolled into the program undergo rigorous training, which prepares them to take up jobs with the government, the private sector, NGOs as well as offers an opportunity for admission into the PhD programs if they wish to pursue a research career. The department has a vibrant faculty with varied research interests offering the masters students the option of selecting from a wide range of exciting sub-disciplines within economics. Eligibility
Students who have or will have a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) with at least 55% in aggregate by September 2020 may apply. Prior economics training is not required
The eligibility criteria mentioned above are minimum standards and applications not meeting the same will be summarily rejected. Short-listed candidates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge through an on-site written test. Selections will be based on performance in the written examination. Please note that not all candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may be shortlisted.

Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by 15th June 2020 to appear for written tests and interviews as mentioned below.
